What an amazing evening at the Queens Hotel in Leeds last Friday for the LLG Awards 2016. The glitz and the glamour was in abundance and spirits were high despite the travel chaos many had to endure. LLG can't thank enough both the wonderful sponsors and the enthusiastic membership who rocked up determined to thoroughly enjoy the evening and celebrate the endless talent that exists in the legal local government world. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part and credit to the winners and runners up especially, who showcased outstanding practice and commitment in their nominations. With so many people staying, the evening went into the small hours with an impressive array of styles showcased on the dance floor and entertaining conversations held forging networks between colleagues. It's always a privilege to watch the 'family' of local government come together representing every walk of life and take a rare moment for themselves to acknowledge the significant impact they play in their local communities and importantly- let their hair down! Thank you to all- you made it a success.

His enthusiasm, collaborative drive and engaging social company will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.
